if only there where more hours in the day...
Yes, I know I know…it’s ok to have “a personal project” to be entertained in your free time. But four? Really?
There is no way that I can finish every idea that I have in mind, but I like to share some of my ideas with you so you can know a little bit more of me. Of course, I hope to finish them one day, but for the moment I use them to learn new technologies and as a personal practice.
Do you have some money and no ideas?. Do you like something from this list? If yes, let’s have a talk
WIFEIGHT
The idea
You know those little things that are not a big deal but you cannot stand:
– Honey, could you please remember to put your mug IN the sink, please?. It has been 15 years now since I told you the first time…
– Hey Bob, could you please stop using my desk as an extension of yours. I mean, I have told you like a hundred times…
Wouldn’t be a great idea to capture all these moments and ask for repayment at some point.
The project
Wifeight is an App that allows you to create a list of those things that you hate from your husband, girlfriend, colleague, roommate… and ask for compensation. You just need to create a list with these objectives, and when you find one, just take a picture with the App as proof. Your opponent will receive a message and you get a point… The first one to get the number of point agreed will win the battle and get a reward.
There are different game modes:
- Open battle: it’s the default game and it can be played without time limit. You need to create the objectives (that thing you hate from your opponent) and assign a value in points. Then you need to add several rewards (That things you want from your opponent) and also assign a “price” in points. When you capture enough points to “buy” a reward, you can claim it.
- Capture the flags: both parts agree up to five objectives and a reward. The first one to capture all the objectives (or the maximum in the game time) get the reward.
Status
The MVP is ready and you can download it from the markets. I cannot consider it as a finished product because there are some performance issues and it should work with several languages (now it’s only in Spanish). And to be honest, I like neither UX nor design.
Development issues aside, it has been proved to be a very funny app to use and it corrects some behaviours, but It needs more functionalities as only “Capture the flag” mode is available now.
Technologies and methodologies

- symfony 3.4
- Firebase
- Sendgrid
- VPS
- Let's encrypt
- apache2
- mysql
- vyond
- wordpress
- react native

- Django
I used this chance to learn to code with IONIC. It’s incredibly easy to do it, I have to say. I also created the backend in Symfony 3.4, which is running in a dedicated VPS (with apache2). I used a simple Elementor WordPress for the landing page and Firebase (push notification) and Sendgrid (transactional emails) as 3rd parties SW integration.
Now, I’m refactoring (or rebuilding) the whole platform with React Native and Django as I want to refresh my knowledge with these technologies and improve the general performance.
The project took an amount of 280 hours to be built.
What's NEXT
- Adding new functionalities (open battle)
- Rebuilding the platform with new technologies
- Apply new design
- Estimated time to finish: 250 hours

I’m capable of finishing it by myself, but I’m open to early-stage investment, so I can focus for some months instead of working on my free time. I’m also open to share the ownership (up to 20%) with a UX expert/Designer.
The unlead barn
The idea
When I crashed my MG F on a mountain road I said two things: I don’t believe I’m alive and damm, I really liked that car.
Then, I started using car-sharing ocasionally. It was cheaper and much more efficient, but it was just a mobility solution, not a CAR.
Nowadays, it’s great to go green and to share vehicles, but I’m missing so badly the sound and the feeling of a sport car.
I didn’t find any service that offers car sharing with proper (and afordable cars) so I said to mysel: what if I create it?
The project
The unlead barn is something more than a carsharing. The idea is to share the car (and the costs), but not as much as companies do, where there are 1000 cars for 50000 users. That’s great if you want to save as much money and possible for your clients, but my idea is different.
Let say that you love a Mini Cooper S (of course you do), you have money but you also have two kids and you are a lucky guy with a walking distance job. So why buying a Mini Cooper S over a nice Toyota or Peugeot? it will be more practical for the family.
Here comes my solution. You can buy the third part of a Mini Cooper S, so you pay just a fraction and you will use the car as much as you need. Everything will be included. Garage, maintenance (tyres, springs, oil…), cleaning, insurance. You will only need to pay your gas aside, every month we will have a calculation of the consumption and charge you with the exact amount. I’m especially proud of the concept of “car-e-taker”, which will be an employee at the company that will clean and maintain the car in pristine conditions, as well as taking your glasses and personal belongings and putting them into your locker until your next ride. You won’t feel that you are driving a shared car.
Yes, we know. But what happens if I’m sharing my car with two friends and we all want to use it at the same time?. And if the car has a major accident? Well, my idea is not about sharing a car. My project is based on the algorithms and protocols that will make this idea viable, and that’s something that I’m keeping to myself until I find the right partner.
Is this valid for everyone? Of course not. But are there potential clients for this service? I truly believe so.

There is a working prototype that allows registering bookings and a part of the algorithm implemented. There is also a tailored back-office to manage the platform.
Before moving to London in June 2019 I started the first financing round, but I had to pause it for some months as I was changing my residence and I didn’t know what to expect in the following months.
In any case and to be honest, it was the best financial round I have ever seen. I was offering 8% of the company and the use of and Abarth 595 + BMW K1300 for two years (and some more benefits) for just 15.000 euros. The idea was to validate the business model before asking for real investment.

I coded the frontend, backend and back-office with Symfony 3.4, which is running in a shared VPS (with apache2). I and Sendgrid (transactional emails) as 3rd parties SW integration.
At some point I will need to create an App, probably the first MVP will be with IONIC and PHP for the backend because it is already done and there is no special need for performance. I will probably use Google Cloud service at the moment that I need to capture real data.
I also have located several manufacturers that will provide special hardware for the vehicles (gas consumption and location) as I will need to gather all the information available for future analysis.
What's NEXT
- Evaluate the possibility to start the business in London, find partners and local providers
- Update the business plan to London
- Update the platform
- Estimated time to finish: 150 hours
- Estimated financial needs for the MVP: £60.000

I want to validate the business model before looking for real investment. I need to buy a car, rent a parking spot and cover all the general expenses. I don’t know if this will be a blast or a failure, so I need real data to test it.
Gossty
The idea
Few years before Tinder was a thing, I was planning to design a site to meet people in bars. I thought that it was a nice idea to go to a place and check who is available there.
When I was working with my partner in the internal communications, we realized that something was missing with the marketing right now. It seems that you receive an offer as soon as you type something with your keyboard. And it can be annoying.
But, what about if we have a channel where you just say what you need, and you receive offers from human beings.
I want a Cantonese dinner for £10 max. Some minutes after you receive several tailored offer from some restaurants. Easy, no?
The project
Gossty is something more than a search engine, it simply creates a channel between a demand and a suply. To understand it, two basic concepts must be explained, Gosst and Gossty.
Gosst is a mix of “Guest” and “Host”. It’s a place independent of the time and space where you can place your self. For example, you can set a Gosst for your birthday and your friends can place themselves there though Gossty. Also, you can set your restaurant as a permanent Gosst and then you can use it for booking reservations. You have a huge stock of chicken and you need to sell it fast. No problem, Gossty gives you a list of user that are interested in a discount chicken dinner. You will send them an offer and if they accept it, you will have your booking done.
And that is a Gossty. When you create a relation between a Gosst and a date you have a Gossty. And it can be used for several purposes. For example, I will send you a Gossty as a date reminder (instead of a calendar date), I will send you a Gossty if I have a shop and I see that you are looking for something that I can sell to you.
There is also an important concept for the Gosst, you can decide to place yourself in a Gosst (similar to foursquare), but only in one at the same time. It is possible to chat with other members, but only inside a Gosst and It will also be possible to show to your network that you are at some Gosst at any moment. User case: some famous person goes to a restaurant and shows the location at Gossty. Some people will go physically to the place and some others will place theimleves at that Gosst. Just imagine the possibilities for marketing.

There was a prototype but it didn’t make it to the beta version. It was my first app and it failed due to our lack of experience. It will require around 1000 hours of work and lots of money for marketing. I have a roadmap, but I’m not willing to disclose it right now.. at least for free 🙂

This is my favourite project of all, but I need help to build it from scratch. I’m open to talk about an early-stage financial round and share my business plan with anyone interested.
44 Tables
The idea
Do you remember that time, when things started to get serious in your relationship and she said something like “Hey, let’s have dinner with my friend and her boyfriend” And there you are, having dinner the four of you, everybody is so nice but… no chemistry at all.
Or when your husband proposed lunch with a friend from work and his wife and… nothing in common.
So, why not trying to find couples that are compatible with other couples. As simple as that.
The project
44Tables (or Table for four) is a simple app where you can register as a couple with a unique profile. Therefore, when you create your account you need two people to fill it (member1, member2). There are a common description and two more for each member of the couple. You can add several tags for the team (running, walking, music, cinema, Cantonese food…) that will help you to identify potential matches.
Yes, there are matches like Tinder, but it is slightly different as both member of the couple needs to approve a match. Also, If some member leaves the platform, the couple won’t be functional (yes there are break-ups and divorces).
The idea is to meet new couples that are as much compatible as it can get. That’s why is called table for four, so you can have dinner with other couples. And to be clear, there is no intention to let this application being used as a “new experiences search engine ” (No swingers). It is only about meeting new friends. In fact, there will be an internal chat and it will be visible for the four members, there is no possibility of private messages.

This is just an idea, I have nothing more than a description and some schematic architecture.
Technologies and methodologies
- To be defined
Probably I will use Django and React Native as it is a classic App schema. I’m almost sure that I will use a noSQL model and 3 parties as Firebase and Sendgrid.
